Future Mastics Limited have been subcontracted by Barratt Homes Bristol division. To carry out remedial sealant works to four concrete staircases to part of the Norton Fitzwarren Dam near Taunton.
Our sealant applicators carefully cut out and removed the existing damaged sealant using hand tools. Once preparation work was completed ARBO sealant was then reapplied and tooled to a neat finish.
Barratt Homes unusual request
As a company Barratt Homes normally subcontract our sealant application services to carry out silicone sealant works to there residential developments across the South West. So we were surprised but happy to help with there unusual request to carry out the remedial sealant works to the dam.
The dam is a flood attenuation structure which was designed to prevent flooding in the village of Norton Fitzwarren near Taunton. The dam was put in place to enable the development of the redundant cider factory site in the centre of the village. Future Mastics carried out the mastic/sealant application works on the Old Cider Works residential project in Norton Fitzwarren back in 2008.
