Isolation and contraction floor joints to logistics depot
Our skilled operatives have been completing thousands of metres of isolation and contraction floor joints. Work has been carried out to the logistics depot’s lorry park, loading bays and access road. The sealant application work first started in 2018 and is being completed in 4 phases.
Sealant manufacturer of choice Adshead Ratcliffe (Arbo) Limited
The Arbothane 1245 one part polyurethane sealant was chosen for the contraction joints because of its good adhesion to concrete trafficked floor joints where a fast cure tough one part sealant is required.
Arbokol AG2 pouring grade is a two part Polysulphide sealant chosen for the isolation joints. The product cures once the two components are mixed together to give a flexible rubber seal. It has good adhesion to concrete, and is recommended for sealing structural floor joints, road joints, runways and runway aprons.
