Future Mastics have recently completed the sealant application works to a new 1257 space, £23m multi-storey car park in Milton Keynes for Simons Construction. Taking a year to complete the entire build from start to finish, the project involved 160 people in the construction on the four level car park. In order to erect the steel frame and position the the sections correctly five 60 tonne cranes were used.

Future Mastics work included 3500 metres of floor joints and sealing around 372 columns. We applied Sikaflex Pro-3 high performance 1-component, moisture-curing, elastic joint sealant with high mechanical and chemical resistance.
Internal & external silicone sealant
We also applied Everbuild 825 low modulus silicone sealant and Everbuild S50 mid modulus silicone sealant to external and internal frames, lift doors, expansion joints, tiled floors, staircases and sanitary-ware.
Working 7 days a week to finish the job on time
There were very tight time constraints for completion and deadlines that just had to be met.

Now finished and fully operational the state of the art car-park is able to constantly update the centre management, with the use of parking bay sensors whilst being able to inform users about the end time of their parking via a text message.
